Moto Hub (“we,” “our,” or “us”) is committed to protecting your personal information in accordance with the Data Privacy Act of 2012 (Republic Act No. 10173) and its Implementing Rules and Regulations, as enforced by the National Privacy Commission (NPC) of the Philippines.
This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, share, and protect your personal data when you use the Moto Hub customer portal and related services.
1. Data Controller Information
Moto Hub acts as the Personal Information Controller (PIC) for the data you provide. Each Moto Hub branch or franchise operates within the same data management framework. You may contact your registered branch for any privacy-related concerns or inquiries.

a. Account and Identity Information
- Full name (first name, middle name, last name)
- Email address
- Mobile number / contact number
- Encrypted password
- Date and time of account registration
- Date and time of terms and privacy policy acceptance
b. Vehicle Information
- Vehicle make, model, variant, and year
- Engine type, displacement, and category
- Plate number and chassis number
- Color and current mileage
- Vehicle photos (if uploaded)
c. Transaction and Service Data
- Service appointment bookings and history
- Service orders, job orders, and repair records
- Parts purchased and sales transactions
- Payment records and amounts
- Digital signatures provided for service approvals
d. Usage Data
- Login timestamps and portal activity logs (for security purposes)
3. Legal Basis for Processing
We process your personal data based on the following lawful bases under RA 10173:
- Consent: You have explicitly agreed to these terms and our Privacy Policy at registration.
- Contractual necessity: Processing is necessary to fulfill service agreements (repair jobs, sales transactions) entered into with you.
- Legitimate interests: We may process data to maintain the security of our platform, prevent fraud, and improve our services, provided your rights are not overridden.
- Compliance with legal obligations: We may process data to comply with applicable Philippine laws and regulations.
4. How We Use Your Data
Your personal data is used for the following purposes:
- Creating and managing your Moto Hub customer account.
- Processing service appointments, work orders, and vehicle repairs.
- Generating invoices, receipts, and transaction records.
- Communicating with you about your appointments, service status, and account.
- Sending email confirmations and notifications related to your transactions.
- Providing customer support and responding to your inquiries.
- Improving the Moto Hub platform and customer experience.
- Complying with legal obligations, including tax and record-keeping requirements.
5. Data Sharing and Disclosure
We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We may share your data in the following limited circumstances:
- Within Moto Hub branches: Your data may be accessed by authorized staff (service advisors, technicians, branch admins) at your registered branch to fulfill your service requests.
- Service providers: We may engage trusted third-party service providers (e.g., email delivery services) who are contractually bound to protect your data and may only process it on our instructions.
- Legal requirements: We may disclose your data when required by Philippine law, a court order, or a request from a government authority with proper jurisdiction.
- Business transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your data may be transferred, subject to the same privacy protections.
6. Data Retention
We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active or as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this Policy. Transaction records (service orders, sales, payments) are retained for a minimum of five (5) years to comply with applicable tax and legal requirements under Philippine law. Upon account deactivation, we will securely delete or anonymize your personal data within a reasonable period, unless retention is legally required.
7. Data Security
We implement appropriate technical and organizational security measures to protect your personal data against unauthorized access, loss, alteration, or destruction. These measures include:
- Encrypted password storage (bcrypt hashing).
- HTTPS/TLS encryption for all data transmitted to and from our platform.
- Role-based access controls limiting staff access to data on a need-to-know basis.
- Email verification for new customer accounts.
In the event of a personal data breach that poses a risk to your rights and freedoms, we will notify the National Privacy Commission and affected individuals within 72 hours as required under RA 10173.

9. Cookies and Local Storage
Moto Hub uses session cookies strictly necessary for the operation of the customer portal (authentication and security). We do not use tracking cookies or third-party advertising cookies. You may configure your browser to refuse cookies; however, this may affect your ability to log in and use the platform.
10. Children’s Privacy
The Moto Hub customer portal is not intended for use by persons under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors. If you believe a minor has created an account, please contact us and we will promptly investigate and take appropriate action.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or in applicable law. We will notify you of significant changes via email or a notice on the customer portal. The “Last Updated” date at the top of this page indicates when the Policy was most recently revised. Continued use of the platform after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Policy.
